Life’s A Trip, 2022

Material: Archivel Inkjet Print

Life brought many unexpected changes, blessings and difficulties during the pandepic era that severely limited my time to create personal work. In the fall of 2022, I was able to carve out time and push myself to go outside to take photos without any expectations other than to experiment freely with a digital camera I had neglected for years. What began as a simple muscle excersise, turned into an introspective reflection on the lack of clarity, purpose, and direction I was experiencing in my life a that time - in my art, career, relationships, etc. By exploring different exposure times and camera movements, these frames connect reality to new possibilities – blurring the line between traditional photographs and surreal art pieces. They are a representation of my journey of finding my way back to myself and doing what I love the most.  They remind us that things don’t have to remain stagnant, and that new ways of seeing things are possible when we explore freely.
