Biography
Leo Carmona is a photographer, filmmaker and designer based in Seattle, Washington. Born in Oaxaca, Mexico, Leo’s life journey as an immigrant offers a perspective that informs the intention and subject matter in his photographic work and other art mediums.
As a multidisciplinary artist, he seeks to understand life and the human condition by documenting the people and world around him. Inspired by music, simplicity, and nostalgia, Leo aims to convey emotions and honesty through visual storytelling and other creative ventures. In 2018, he participated in the Motion Picture program at Blanket Forth Films, where he received training in filmmaking and videography, and was the co-writer and director of “The Token”, a short satire film about the experience of BIPOC millenials working in the non-profit industry.
