Leo Carmona (b. 1994, Oaxaca, Mexico) is an artist and designer based in Everett, WA. Since 2014, he has built a professional portfolio of photographic and design work in collaboration with private clients and cultural organizations parallel to a communications career in the nonprofit and public sectors. From 2018 to 2020, Leo’s photography was exhibited in venues including Nepantla Cultural Arts Gallery (Seattle), Galería de la Raza (San Francisco), CultureStrike (Oakland), and Vermillion Art Gallery (Seattle). After a five-year hiatus, Leo has retaken his artistic path in 2025 with renewed energy—expanding into new mediums and materials while remaining rooted in photography. This year, his work has been shown at the Center for Wooden Boats, AXIS Gallery, Seattle ReCreative, and Kenmore City Hall. Leo holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Washington (2016) and completed a six-month filmmaking program with Blanket Fort Films in 2019, where he directed and co-produced his first short film, The Token.
